A Real, Principled Alternative to The Liberals and Conservatives
On behalf of the Executive of the KLC People’s Party, I would like to congratulate Tracy Gray on returning to Ottawa as MP and thank her for her service and dedication to the citizens of this riding. I would also like to praise the other four candidates for standing up for democracy in putting their names and policies forward and for running a fair campaign in which there was very little vandalism or shenanigans.
I would like to correct some reports that the PPC was a major force in splitting the vote and costing the Conservatives the election. Stereotypes say we are right wing, but if one takes a few minutes to read the PPC policies, you will see a classical liberal party in alignment with many Canadians. Post election analysis has shown that, while some support came from disaffected Conservatives of whom it would be more accurate to say that rather than them leaving the party, the Conservatives left them when they abandoned all pretence at fiscal responsibility, significant numbers of voters split off from the Greens and NDP. Polling data has consistently shown that the typical PPC voter is young, BIPOC and working class unlike both the Liberals and Conservatives whose support rises in white, rich seniors. This is no surprise as lockdowns, debt and erosion of civil liberties disproportionately hurt young, marginalized people.
Thank you to our supporters, volunteers and the thousands who voted for our candidate, Brian Rogers, resulting in a four-fold increase from 2019. We promise to continue to work hard to communicate what the party really stands for and prepare for the next election.
Finally, I want to say how proud I am to live n this wonderful free country where we have fair and peaceful elections. Around the world we see power exerted at the point of an AK-47 in Afghanistan, burning of cities by activists south of the border and the deployment of tear gas in European elections. Despite the cynical calling of this useless election and using wedge issues to divide us and ignite passions, ours was a peaceful demonstration of democracy with one instance of gravel tossing at the Liberal leader and our own leader being hit on the head by an egg. We are lucky to have our freedoms here, and the PPC will continue to fight to keep them.

A VOTE FOR THE PPC IS ACTUALLY THE BEST WAY TO USE YOUR VOTE
We must dispel the myth that a vote for your principles in voting for the People’s Party is a wasted or split vote. It is the only chance for real change. Aug 15th, 2021
We are constantly hearing that a vote for the PPC is “splitting the right wing vote” or “a wasted vote since you are too small to win”. First, let’s address the split the right canard. It is important to challenge the meme that the PPC is a far right party. A vote for the Cons just gets more of the same – no real change – so THAT is the true wasted vote if you want a better government. Finally, change may be incremental, but it CAN be done. It is time to take a stand and vote for what you believe. Vote PPC.

The PPC identified an individual involved in the recent gravel throwing incident in London as a member of our party. We condemn all acts of violence without reservation. This individual had their membership immediately revoked, and the actions have been condemned by our leader, Mr. Bernier. We look to the other parties to act in solidarity against such violence, including the recent assault on the PPC leader. The PPC stands for Respect.

At the hallway point in the campaign, support for the PPC is skyrocketing as more Canadians hear our message of freedom and prosperity.

According to polls, support for the People’s Party of Canada has increased in the past two weeks and some polls have us at 6 or 7% nationally and we are more popular now than the Green Party.
Different firms have different techniques, so before and after comparisons must be done using the same firm, and for example:
Nanos shows a change from 1.9% on Aug 12th to 7% as of Sep 13th.
This is a growth of 368%.

The unfolding crisis in Kabul is tragic on so many levels, many out of control of Canada. However, the cries of the civilians who worked with our troops were ignored by our government and the opportunity to offer them safe haven may have been missed. Many Afghans risked their lives and those of their families to work alongside our soldiers during the war. They are not immigrants or even refugees. They are essentially ‘veterans’ who served our country with bravery and distinction

A private members bill, Bill C-208 was passed by the House, with the support of all NDP, Conservative and Bloc members as well as 19 brave Liberals who voted for the measure despite the government opposing it. It was approved by the Senate. It received Royal Assent on June 29. According to federal law, bills go into effect when given royal assent. On June 30th the Trudeau government stated it will NOT implement the bill, despite the fact it is now the Law of the Land.
